My family heritage includes the BOYLE family.Other researchers may have "lost" the following relatives discovered during my research..

1.Samuel born c. 1834 and Alexander BOYLE born c 1835 .  sons of John Boyle and Margaret Unknown emigrated to New Zealand in the mid 1860s.

2. Samuel had married Sophie CAMPBELL dau of John Campbell in  June 1857 in Bangor. They had 4 children in Ireland and a further 6 in NZ. The names HALLIDAY & TETFORD feature in the forenames of children.

3. Alexander BOYLE died of consumption  in Nelson NZ in 1866. He was unmarried.

i.. I have further info if anyone has a connection.

ii.. I would like to know more about John, Margaret, Samuel & Alexander BOYLE in Ireland.

Thanks

Dale

  • Hi Dale,

Thank you for your message and also for your offer to share information-it is really appreciated! I hope that others researching the same families contact you and help you further your research. In the meantime please see my response to your message on the Donaghadee parish page to see some useful website:

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

    Kind regards,

  •  Hi Dale I have a Boyle family somehow connected to Campbell in Ireland.  I think Londonderry but cant be certain.  John Boyle had at least two daughters Catherine c1837 and Isabella c1840.  Also a James Campbell b 1832 travelled to Australia with them somehow comes into the picture. James Campbell was also from Londonderry and on the same ship as the Boyle sisters, he was also buried with Catherine when he died 1900's.  They may be from Londonderry or may have moved there for some reason before they left for Australia 1855.  Any connection?
