  • Hi,  Just doing some research on some ancestors and saw your notice.  I have information that one of my Grandfathers was named Kirker who had a brother who lived in a place called Bleachgreen Keady.  It is written that this brother owned a business bleaching flax ready for making linen.   This may be William kirk (shortened from kirker).  A child was born named Samuel at this Uncles home at Bleachgreen on March 5, in 1851 to Margaret Hall(nee kirker) the father was Edward Hall, who worked away at the time in England for the linen warehouse of bingham and Co,. Liverpool.  Margerat may be related to your grandfather.

Margerat and Edward Hall had a son called Thomas who died at age 21 years.  When Edward Hall was only 9 years old.  The whole family  three years later on November 26 1864 left London on the ship Bombay bound for New Zealand.

If anyone can help me track this family in Keady, that would be wonderful, both Kirker and Hall.
