I am seeking any information at all about Bridget Ryan and her family (ancestors and descendants).
According to marriage registration, her parents were Luke Ryan and Mary Adams. Place of birth is listed as Carlow. Her father is lsited as a Farmer. Her estimated date of birth from the infoemation I have found is c.1855.
Bridget emigrated to Australia in 1869/70 and her sponsor is listed as Major G C Bloomfield form Carlow and her address is listed as Furlecu or Furleeu Palantine.
I have had no luck so far tracking any further information about Bridget and her family. Any help at all would be appreciated.
Thanks

Mick:
I found a graveyard transcription for Major Bloomfield and his wife who both died in 1901. They were buried in Killeshin which is a small village in Laois (formerly Queens) county on the border with Co. Carlow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killeshin I looked up Thornville House and found that it is in Knockarda townland in Urglin civil parish in Co. Carlow. I would focus my Ryan research efforts to that parish on the border with Co. Laois.
