Hi, There is a record in the tithe applotment books (1823-1837) of Henry Compton. I believe this to be my great great grandfather. Can anyone tell me if the parish records of this time are available anywhere to access ?

Not sure if Henry was RC or C of I. The Cof I records go back to 1787 and the RC records go back to 1835. The Mormons have microfilmed these records but since you are in Ireland, you probably want to view the originals. According to the Mormon web site www.familysearch.org the Cof I records are at the library in Mullingar. The RC records are at the National Library in Dublin. Call to verify. See links below.
