I have a look in our local records and this is what I found on the above family

Patrick Ryan and Mary Harty mar 03 Feb 1861, sponsors John Coleman and Johanna Keating

They had 6 children baptised in Murroe Church

1. John b 27 Nov 1861 sp David Harty and Margaret Frawley
2. Johanna b 13 Mar 1864 sp John Coleman and Anne Humphries
3. Michael b 30Sept 1865 sp Thomas Coleman and Eliza Ryan
4. Mary b 01 Feb 1868 sp James Coleman and Eliza Ryan
5. Thomas 17 Feb 1872 sp Michael Coleman and Margaret Ryan
6. Ellen 03Aor 1876 sp John Ryan and Margaret Ryan

Address for all children at time of baptisms - KNOCKANERRY - This is a townsland , in the parish of Murroe -

I had a quick look at the census for 1901 and 1911 in Knockanerry and i found the family on both  links are below-

From the census we can calculate that

Patrick Ryan was born ~ 1833 and died between 1901 and 1911

Mary Harty was born ~1835/1836

However this are only a guide as many peoples ages on the census are off by a few years !

I only found one Mary Harty baptised in Murroe 

• Mary b 20 Dec 1830 to John Harty and Jenny Ryan

There were no Patrick Ryans Born in 1833 but I did find 4 in 1832/34

• Patrick b 26 Nov 1832  to James Ryan and Ellen Ryan
• Patrick b 25 Jan 1834 to Patrick Ryan and Mgt Mc Donnell
• Patrick b 29 Jan 1834 to Thomas Ryan and Bgt Conway
• Patrick b 05 MAr 1834 to Thomas Ryan and Catherine Wixted

The Mary Harty that was b. 20 Dec 1830 to John Harty and Jenny Ryan is what we have in our records from a trip my brother took to Ireland in 1998.

Would this be the same Mary Harty that married the Patrick Ryan in record MURR/920.

How would I go about getting copies of this marriage record?

Hi Ellen,

It would be hard to say 100% that it the same Mary Harty, as there are not al lot of records to confirm this , when it get to this stage.

The civil records started in Ireland in 1864 ,  as the marriage was in 1830 the only copy of this record is in the the Church records!
