I'm looking to connect with descendants of my ancestors from the following families that may still be living in and around Dublin or other areas of Ireland:
- Michael Fitzgibbon and Margaret O'Brien of Murroe, Co. Limerick, Ireland
They had several children in mid 1800's (Helen, Margaret, Gerald, William, James and Elizabeth).Their son William was my GG father who married my GG mother Ellen Fleming in Caherconlish, Limerick, Ireland around 1868. May have used both surname of Fitzgibbon and Gibbons.
- William Costelloe and Catherine Ryan of Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, Ireland
They had several children in the mid 1800's (Mary, William, Patrick, John, Thomas, Michael, Edward and Catherine). Their son Patrick was my GG father who married my GG Anne ( or Mary) Sheehy in Murroe, Co. Limerick, Ireland around 1884. They lived in the Glengar area and used both surname Costelloe and Costello.
- Richard Sheehy & Judith Ryan of Cooga, Doon, Co Limerick, Ireland
Their son John Sheehy was my GG father who married two sisters with maiden name of Walsh. He married my GG mother Mary Walsh in Cappamore, Co. Limerick, Ireland around 1848.
Any knowledge as to whereabout of descendants of these particualr families would be welcome....Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your message. I hope that someone with information on any descendents makes a connection with you and helps you to further your research.
Have you tried looking in the 1901/1911 census records to see if there were any possible family still in the areas at the time? If you haven't already done so you can check these online here:
www.census.nationalarchives.ie
It may also be an idea to get in contact with the Family History Centres in each area for some assistance. However a fee may apply. Here are the email addresses:

Hello!
I am also looking at my ancestors, who were the Walsh line from Cappermore! My grandad was Joseph Walsh (b. 1909) and his parents were Honora Hogan and John Walsh (married in Cappamore in 1893). I'm not sure who John's parents were, but on the marriage certificate, he lists his father as Michael. John, Honora and the children were present on the 1901 and 1911 census entries for Cappamore. I'd love to find out if there's a connection between your Walsh and mine...
