Looking for fuurther information on my family. Great Grandfather - William Hamilton Franks DOB 22/09/1865; his sisters Katherine Henrietta Franks DOB 11/03/1868; Lucy Franks 21/09/1873.
William Hamilton Franks - father William Hume Franks & Lucy White (1844-1920?)
Married 03/12/1863.married Sarah Letitia Jones 16/07/1885 in Dublin and was immediatelybanished to New Zealand for "marrying below the family status".
His mother is proving difficult to trace - Lucy White. On a marriage notice I have found her father listed as Richard White (from Bantry, Cork). All are considered as being from "Irish Peeerage". There is a Richard White - Baron (very extensive family) listed in The Irish Peerage - listed as dying without issue. Am thinking my Richard & Lucy are distant cousins.
Assistance with her daughters Katherine & Lucy - would also be appreciated.

Hello Dee,
I went to www.irishgenealogy.ie and searched for Lucy White. I found a record
Lucy White b.1 Jan 1834, father Richard White, mother Elizabeth Williams, Bantry Co. Cork
On looking at the Bantry records I also found a record for a girl called Angel Driscoll 1856. Her sponsors are no. 1 Hamilton, and no. 2 Lucey White
