My grandfathers father was born in Sligo about 1832 and his name was Patrick Brennan and his fathers name was Patrick Brennan. I think he was a timber labourer. If anyone can help find relatives of the above I would appreciate it.

www.rootsireland.ie has a baptism records for Patrick Brennan with father Patrick in Sligo 1829.
I went through the parishes and found that it was Riverstown R C where the baptism was registered..
I tried for Patrick senior's marriage - assuming he was married before Patrick's birth around 1830 I searched 1825 + - 5 years and got 2 matches: 1824 & 1825
rootsireland.ie is a pay site but they have 40% off at the moment. If you purchase the baptism record it would give you the mother's name and you could then search for their marriage and their parents would be on that to keep working back.
You might like to have a look at the Tithe Applotments (1823-37) which are free to search; there are 56 Brennans in Sligo including 5 Pats.
