Looking for information on Michael (Mick) Conway-my great grandfather. He emigrated to America in about 1862. I believe he came from Sultan(sp?) township. Any information would be helpful-I am stuck!

I am looking for information on Catherine C. Quinn. She was born in this parish in approximately 1864. She emigrated in the early 1870's to New York. I am looking for information on her parents. I believe her mother was Ann Quinn (maiden name: Ann Slane). I believe Ann was born in 1841 and also emigrated, but I do not know anything further. Any help would be great. I am visiting Omagh and the area in April.

You had the correct spelling for the townland- Sultan. It is a very large townland (over 2200 acres). I checked the 1901 census for Sultan and there were over 40 Conways and 12 Slanes. www.census.nationalarchives.ie
You may also want to check Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie Roots is a pay site to view actual records but you can search for free to look for baptismal and marriage records. Roots has RC records for Termonmaguirk for the period 1834-1857.
