Seeking to confirm Irish records of emigrants Elizabeth Love (born abt 1833 Ireland d. 1918 Hamilton Ontario Canada), her brother James Love (born abt 1835-36 d. 17 Sep 1882 Hamilton Ontario) and their parents Thomas Love and Jane (maiden name unknown) to Canada West (Ontario) Canada in late 1830s or early 1840s. Jane Love (maiden name unknown) was a widow when she married again in 1846 in Hamilton, Ontario (Gore District) to a John Phibbs. She died in Hamilton Ontario 24 Feb 1875. Jane, second husband John Phibbs and Jane's daughter Betsy Love, age 19, are in the 1852 Census of Ontario in Hamilton, Ontario. Elizabeth Love married George Wild in the mid 1850s in either Hamilton Ontario or North Cayuga, Haldimand Co. Ontario. Her 1918 obituary states she was born in Ireland but had lived in Hamilton "since she was a little girl." A family member stated that this family was from County Cork. Fellow researchers suggested the parish of Kilmoe based on the number of Love entries both in the later Griffith's Valuation and Tithe Applotments. Further examination of Tithe Applotments for Kilmoe suggests Enaghouter as a possible place of origin, but by no means the only one. In Ontario, both Elizabeth Love and her brother James Love were identified as Church of England (Anglican) in Censuses.
