I am looking for information on any of the Mahonys that immigrated to Canada in the late 1800s to Ontario/Quebec and settled in the Gatineau Valley, Quebec. Canada Thank you

Hi,
Thank you for your message. I hope that someone with information makes a connection with you.
In the meantime have you tried looking in church records? Catholic records from Bantry parish have been uploaded free of charge to:
http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/
Another useful website is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what Catholic records are available in specific parishes. For Bantry follow this link:
Civil registration began in Ireland in 1864 so any births, deaths or marriages in the family after this date would be recorded in these records. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office. Here are their contact details:

You can search the indexes to these records up to 1958 online at:
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1408347
You could also try searching in the 1901/1911 census records to see what Mahony?s were still in the area at the time:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/
Also, for earlier Mahony?s you could search the land record known as Griffith?s Valuation here:

Remember to post as much information as you can about the people you are researching-the more you post the more likely it is that others will be able to assist you.
Kind regards,
