looking for Martin family/Daly(Dailey) family

In the meantime, I did a search for Martins in Kilmacrenan in the TIthe Applotment Books. These are land records dating from 1823-38. Here are the results:

The later land record called Griffith?s Valuation (1848-64) records:

Unfortunately, these records do not contain any genealogical information but they do give you some names of the Martins in the area at the time. I could not find any Daly?s in Griffith?s in the parish of Kilmacrenan.

With regards to church records, unfortunately, Catholic records for the parish do not start until 1862 so it will not be possible to find a baptism record for either Daniel or Thomas.

If the family followed the Church of Ireland you may be more lucky. You can see from this link what Cof I records are available online:

Have you tried looking into the family?s emigration? Sometimes more infomation can be found at the port of arrival rather than that of departure. For information on US immigration records check http://www.archives.gov/research/immigration/
