Hello, I am looking for more information about my ancestors. Thomas Henry Phair was born in about 1800 and from Enniskillen. He married Mary Curry in about 1820. They had several sons, William, Henry, Robert and John. My lineage-- Rboert was a lime burner.  It apprears all the boys immigrated to Brantford, Ontario Canada in about 1863.

My lineage Robert married Jemima Acheson, who's family was from Maguires Bridge area, and immigrated to Brantford, Ontario, Canada also. I dont know who her parents are. I think she had a brother named Alexander. 

Any information you may have on these families would be appreciated.

    He is farming 9 acres of land at Cornashee Townland...

    There would be no official records of Births, Marriages, Deaths before 1846 in Ireland.

    There may be church records, but you would need to contact the Church in the Parish they were married.

    I think this looks like your ancestor arriving in Canada in 1871...

  • Hi Sean, thanks for your help on Thomas Phair and his family  from Fermanagh. The info on all the sons that immigrated to Canada was especially helpful, as I didn't know all their names.   Would their parish be  Aghalurcher as you mentioned above. And what would be the best way to contact them regarding their church records for marriage or baptisms. I have not done any research  yet in Ireland, so am unfamiliar the best way to obtain information. Thanks, Julie Phair Hansmann
