I am looking for some help finding information regarding my great, great grandmother Ann Rogers. The bank records of 1854 in New York stated that my great, great grandmother was from Irishtown about two miles from Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland. The document was very hard to read. I believe she was Born around 1825. The document stated that both her parents are dead. It stated her dad (looks like) Walter Rogers, Mother (looks like) Ann Donpher.
Ann Rogers arrived in New York March 13, 1848 on the ship Louisiana out of Liverpool, , England. According to records she was 23 years old. My great, great grandmother married Michael Canty it is believed in New York City. Her first Child was born in 1850.
Michael Canty my great, great grandfather was born between 1815 and 1820. He stated in a bank record he was from Killinaboge 5 miles from Bantry Co Cork. The writing is hard to read so Killinaboge could be anything similar.
Also below the same bank records of Ann Canty was another record. One for Rose Rogers. Native of (looks like) keoghaltown near Mullingar. Came by Ship from Liverpool the Manhattan. Stated both parents are dead. The rest was illegible. The record also showed that they both lived in the same house in New York City. I believe they were related.

The tithe applotment records for 1833 and Griffiths Valuation for 1854 both have a Philip Rodgers listed in Irishtown, Mullingar. There were no other Rodgers households, and it?s not a very common name in Westmeath, so I?d say this seems likely to be a relative of Ann?s. In 1854, Philip had plot 12a which was a small farm of just under 5 acres. The townland is on the north west edge of modern Mullingar and the location would be easy enough to find today.
There are no Rodgers on the townland by the time of the 1901 census.

There?s a possible death for Philip registered in Mullingar 1874, est year of birth 1785.
I could not find any records for Walter Rodgers.

Sorry I have not responded sooner. Thank you for checking. I did check and found two Rogers in the old Records. One for Irishtown and one for Millingar. Neither one namesd Walter. I'm not sure where to go from here.

I wish I could post a picture of the writing from the bank records that are hard to read to see if more information could be deciphered. I know that there were only a couple of family's in the Mullingar area. I don't know where to gather any more information before 1850.
I am also seeking information for Rose Rogers who lived near or in Mullingar. I believe she was related in some way to Ann.
