James and Elizabeth were married in St Finbarr's Church South Cork on 17 Nov 1838. The witnesses for the groom - James Sheehy and Ellen Fahy and for the bride E. Quain.

Noting the witness for the wife on their marriage above is E Quain. There is an Owen Madden married to Margaret Quain in Mallow c 1796. I found that they had one son Daniel Owen Madden
Daniel Owen Madden (1815-59), writer, was born in Mallow, County Cork, the only son of Owen
Madden, a Cork merchant, and Margaret Madden (née Quain). He died in Dublin 6 August 1859 and his remains were brought to Cork, where he was buried in the family plot in Upper Shandon
I would be interested to know if my Elizabeth/Eliza was one of Owen & Margaret's children but can't find any other births.
