Hi,
I am seeking help in finding information on Francis McDONNELL & Bridget JENNINGS the parents of Mary McDONNELL who married David THOMPSON in Sydney, Australia in 1863. Mary was born about 1835 in County Mayo, she is believed to be the only child of that marriage (no details on Marriage) and it is possible her mother and her may have moved to Killmihill, County Clare sometime between 1837 & 1862.
Francis McDonnell was transported to NSW, Australia in 1837 along with a Patrick McDonnell, who may have been his brother. Both were transported for Larceny. It is thought Mary may have arrived in Sydney on the 'Hotspur' in 1862.
Francis McDonnell died in Sydney in 1870 and his daughter Mary died in Sydney in 1905, but we have no information about Bridget McDonnell. Any information that could lead us to find the parish or parents of both Francis McDonnel & Bridget Jennings would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Sue
