Looking for any information on the family of John Lynn born about 1784 and Margueritte Cotter born about 1784. I know they had one daughter Elizabeth Lynn. The only thing I have to go on is the French Canadian marriage of Eugene McCarthy to Elizabeth Lynn in 1832. It mentions the parents of both the bride and groom. The bride's parents are John Lynn and Margueritte Cotter of Parish Clogher or Glogher, County of Kerry, Ireland.. I am the 3rd great-granddaughter of John Lynn and Margueritte Cotter. Anything will help.
Thank you

Dear Ellen,
A quick search of the free church records online for Kerry shows that the name Lynn was spelled in a variety of ways. Do you know if your ancestors were members of the Church of Ireland or Roman Catholics? This would narrow down our search.
Clogherbrien is just outside the present day town of Tralee. Do you have a particular reason to believe that Clogherbrien, Tralee is their point of origin?
When checking Griffiths Valuation 1850 land records, I found 32 listings for Clogher.
I look forward to hearing from you and maybe being able to help you a little more.
