    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

As you can see from the link below, Larne is a Civil Parish in Co. Antrim:

    http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/townlands/index.cfm?fuseaction=TownlandsInCivil&civilparishid=334&civilparish=Larne&citycounty=Antrim

Church of Ireland records for that parish begin in 1806 and records for the corresponding Roman Catholic Parish of  Larne begin in 1821 and for Carrickfergus in 1820. As this is the case, there will be no baptism record for Patrick as his birth predates the start of the records for this parish. Do you know if Patrick married in Ireland before emigrating or married abroad? Have you tried searching Ancestry.com for any mention of your ancestor?s name in member family trees or messages?

Remember to post any new information that you find here. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.

Best of luck with your search
