Nicholas Flannery and Mary Sheilds/Sheil had 5 children. Joseph, Michaelem, Brigidam/Bridget, Maria, Nicholas and Catherine. Nicholas died June 1883 in the parish of Lissonuffy. Mary had a brother named Patrick who came to Philadelphia with Joseph Flannery about 1849. They married sisters. Joseph married Winefred Haverty and Patrick married Julia Haverty. The two families moved to Burlington, Iowa. I would like to know about the Sheilds and where Nicholas and Mary were buried. We found their home in Coggalstack and have pictures.

I would contact the Catholic church in Strokestown. The Lissonuffy church and cemetery are part of the Strokestown parish.
