I am stuck right now with my family history that is in Ireland. I thought I only had one line that went into Ireland but have since found out I have several. I could use any help, tips or advice on where to look and what to do to further my research. I have tried rootsireland.ie, findmypast.com, and I use ancestry.com regularly. Here are the names I'm trying to get further with:
1. Charles Spriggs (2nd great grandfather) born 1805 Cork. I would love to see his birth record or christening record to find out his birth date and the names of his parents. He immigrated to Canada and then the U.S. and died in the U.S. I don't know when he immigrated.
2. Edward Hornibrook (3rd great grandfather) born 1795 Bandon, Cork, Munster. I would love to see his birth record, christening record or marriage record to confirm his birthdate and his parents names. He immigrated to Canada with his wife and children (it may have been 7 children) sometime before 1828 when his first child was born in Canada. His children were born in Bandon, Cork, Munster.
3. John Thomas Hornibrook Esquire (Edward's father) born 1770 Kilbrogen Parish, Bandon, Cork died about 1870. Any information I can get on him, his wife, their children, his parents. I would like to keep going. His marriage record could have his parents listed.
4. Alice Good (Edward's mother) born about 1770. I don't know if she was born in Ireland or not. I'm assuming she was. A marriage record would be nice to see if her birth place and birth date were listed as well as her parents.
5. Frances Burchill (3rd great grandmother wife to Edward) born 1799 Bandon, Cork died in Canada. I would love to see her birth record, christening record or marriage record to confirm birth date, marriage date and parents names.
6. Samuel Burchill Esquire (Frances' father) born about 1770 Bandon, Cork. I would love to find Frances birth record so I could find out her mother's name, a census record or a marriage record.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Lisa have a look @ www.irishgenealogy.ie which has baptism/marriage records for Diocese of Cork & Ross (Bandon & Ballinhassig) there are records for Hornibrook surname & also for Burchill.
www.nationalarchives.ie has Tithe Applotment mid 1820's & Griffiths Valuation records.
There will not be any Civil records available ( only came in 1864 in Ireland) so you will only hope to get Church records & these may not be available for the Parishes you mention for the timeframe.

Dear Lisa
Have searched through the copies of parish records we have for Kilbrogan and Ballymodan, Church of Ireland/Episcopalian and have found the date of marriage for Edward and Frances and the dates for the baptisms of three of their children. If you would like to contact me directly at claremccutcheon51@gmail.com and can give you some further information.
Samuel Burchill is more difficult to pin down as there are 9 in the burial registers in the 19th century ranging from an infant to 106 years old.
Kilbrogan: Edward Hornibrook married Frances Burchill 22nd August 1820, Banns
Children:
Alice bpt. 27th January 1822 (Edwd & Frances)
Mary bpt. 26th November 1823 (Edwd & Frances)
Elizabeth bpt. 7th December 1825 (Edward & Fanny)Best regards
