John and Mary( McClintock) Gilespie lived in Trentamucklagh,Civil parish of Raphoe, County Donegal and has 7 children. John was born ca. 1767 according to his headstone, The location of his birth is unknown. No information is known about his wife, Mary (McClintock).
Their fourth son, James, was my great-great grandfather. James immigrated to Brooklyn, NY in 1841.
If anyone has further information on John and Mary (McClintock) it would be most appreciated.

Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie has an 1820 baptismal record for a James Gillespie born to John Gillespie and Mary McClintock in the Taughboyne Church of Ireland records. There was also an 1823 baptismal record for a child born to John Gillespie and Mary McClintock. Without the first name of the child, I could not verify that the record was in Taughboyne C of I records.
Roots is a pay site to view a transcription of a church record.
FYI, the spelling of the townland was Treantaghmucklagh. I checked the 1857 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Taughboyne civil parish and there was a John Gillespie listed in Treantaghmucklagh. I assume this was the father of James.
I also checked the 1901 census for Treantaghmucklagh and there was a Gillespie household. Joseph Gillespie and his sister Annie both unmarried. Religion was shown as Presbyterian.
