Hello, I am trying to find out more information about my ancestry. My paternal great grandmother was a woman named Margaret Healy, born in 1819 or 1824. I think she was from Ballingarry or Moneen East. Family information says she emigrated to American in 1865, to New York where she met and married a man called ?Allen from Irvingstown, Co. Tyrone. I don't have any other details than those. D Gowen

The Allen public member tree on ancestry.com (owner allenjairis) has Vera Margaret Healy who married Horace Allen. It says that he was born in Plymouth Mass in 1887 & that she was born in New York but no date or source is given.

www.rootsireland.ie/ has a baptism record of Margaret Healy in Galway 1820 but the parish is not Ballingarry or Moneen

It costs to view the full record on roots but it will have the parish and MAYBE the parents' names.
