Would like to find information regarding the family of Winifred HOGAN, born about1832 at Kilkeedy, County Clare. She immigrated to America in 1852. She married John SLATTERY and lived in Wisconsin from 1860 until her death in 1890 at Scott, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. She lived for a short time in Connecticut or New York.

Kilkeedy is not in the list of parishes unfortunately
The Tithe Applotments 1823-42 (free online) have 2 Hogans in Kilkeedy in 1842
Griffiths Valuation 1848-64 (free) has 3 Hogans in Kilkeedy

Dear Julia:
Many thanks for your query to Ireland Reaching Out. I believe that the parish that you are referring to is known as Tubber today. Those records are all online through the Clare Library website. They were very generously and voluntarily transcribed and can be accesssed at: http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/genealog.htm. If you look at the right hand column where it says "Donated Material", you will see a reference to Births, Baptisms, Marriages and Deaths. Click on that link and that will take you to the list of parishes that have been transcribed. Kilkeedy is also referred to as Tubber and has almost 3000 records done.
Any problems, get back to me.
All the best to you in your research!
Kind regards,
Jane.

I am the great great great granddaughter of Winifred Hogan whose picture is prominent on your website!
Her legacy is grand. As a peasant arriving to Wisconsin about 1853, her son became a grocer and prominent public leader in Milwaukee and her grandson became a dentist.
I am coming to County Clare to learn more in February 2023.
Where she I go to learn more?
Thanks!
Kathleen
