Hannah Reardon, daughter of Robert Reardon (or Riorden)

I looked at the 1852 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Co. Cork and there were four Robert Reardon/Riordans listed.The townland is listed after the first name followed by the civil parish.

I then looked at Roots Ireland for a baptismal record for Hannah but did not locate one. I did find an 1852 baptismal record for a Jane Reardon/Riordan with a father named Robert in the Mallow RC records. Likely the fourth Robert above. I worked with the indexes and found that her mother's first name was Jane but I could not determine the mother's surname from the indexes.

I pass this record to you as a possible lead in your search.

Thanks so much for this info. Roger, I will certainly use it in my research. However it seems there is conflicting information about the birth year of Hannah, and her father's name.

Is there any way you could point me in the right direction to check if there are records for the following:

• Birth: Hannah Riorden/Reardon born in 1853 in Fermoy Co Cork, Ireland
• Father's name: Michael Riorden
• Marriage: To William Unwin on 20 October 1869 in Cork, Co Cork, Ireland

(Hannah & William had a son before coming to Australia, his name was James Unwin and he was  born 5 December 1873 in Chester, Cheshire, England).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Checked Roots. No Hannah Reardon 1848-1858 but I did find a Johanna Reardon/Riordan (father Michael) in the 1853 Mitchelstown RC records. Mitchelstown is to the north of Fermoy.

I could not locate a marriage recor don Roots or in the civil marriage index records.
