I am looking for my grandmothers birth record. She was born 5th Jan 1886 in Kinsale.
the problem is I can find her two brothers records but not hers.
Her brothers were
Daniel Masterson born 24/07/1877
Denis Masterson born 31/01/1879
can any one help me please.

The only Sarah Masterson born in the Kinsale registration district is a Sarah Ann Masterson born in the fourth quarter of 1883. The birth is recorded in Volume 5 page 316. I did locate a birth record in the first quarter of 1886 for a Christina Dinah Masterson in the Kinsale registration district. Volume 5 page 351.
You can get a copy of either record for around 4 euros from the General Register Office. Let me know if you plan to get copies and I can forward instructions.

Located the 1901 census record which ties to the January 1886 DOB. Is it possible the 1883 Sarah died young and the family baptized her as Christina but called her Sarah? Just a thought.
