John Taggart born 1780 in Ireland married Fanny (Elizabeth Frances) Rolston born abt 1784 Ireland. They had 5 sons and 2 daughters. The family left Ireland about 1836.
1.) William abt 1813 Tyrone Co, Ireland and died June 5 1890 in Wellington, Ontario, he was married at the Black Horse Hotel in Toronto, to Mary Reid, b 1819 died July 7 1897, in Guelph, Ontario.
2.) Edward abt 1810 Ireland died between 1871-1877 Dufferin Co. Ontario, he married Isabella McBride.
3.) James abt 1812 Tyrone, Ireland, died Dec 6 1893 Hornings Mills, Dufferin, Ontario married Jane Reid. They had 7 children.
4.) Mary Jane b 1819 Ireland, died 27 Jan 1892, Hornings Mills, Dufferin, Ontario married Robert Allan, 22 March 1843 at St. James Anglican Church, Toronto, York, Ontario.
5.) John born July 1819 Ireland died May 8 1864 Dufferin Co, Ontario never married
6.) Clarke b 1823 Ireland died March 3 1881 Dufferin Co., Ontario never married was a cooper
7.) Eliza Margaret born 7 April 1828 in County of Tyrone Ireland, died 20 Aug 1849 Ontario, married John Taylor, 23 Dec 1849 in Hamilton, Huron Co., Ontario.

The births are all long before the start of statutory birth registration in Ireland (1864). In that situation you have to rely on church records. To do that you really need to know the family?s denomination and parish. You mention that one of the daughters married in an Anglican church. That suggests they may have been Church of Ireland.
Many early Church of Ireland records were lost in the 1922 fire in Dublin but about half still exist. There are 42 parishes in Co Tyrone. The Church of Ireland baptism records for 4 of them are on the rootsireland site. The rest are not on-line anywhere, so far as I am aware. There are copies held in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast but a personal visit would be required to go through them all one by one. (A couple of days work I would guess).
PS Taggart comes from the Irish/Gaelic word Saggart, meaning priest.
