The above were married on April 24th, 1863 in Magheralin, Ireland. I have no further information regarding their birth, death or residence. They had 3 children - George DOB 1866/11/21, John DOB 1869/03/17 and Rebecca Maxwell DOB 1875/03/05, Marriage 1900 Belfast.
Can anyone assist?
Thanks.

Hi Cathy
I had a look at the marriage record on geni.nidirect.gov.au
Both fathers were named John. The county is given as Down.
It's hard to read their places of residence but his looks like Ballmackernon and hers ends in town
He was a weaver and she was a bleacher
There are 2 baptism records of Joseph King with father John in Down on ww.rootsireland.ie/ (none in Antrim)
1 is 1835 & 1 is 1836 There is a charge to view the full record
I couldn't see a parish like Ballymackernon in the list of parishes on rootsireland (magnifying glass at right of record)
I couldn't find a birth / baptism record for Alicia on rootsireland and they only start at 1845 on nidirect
The Tithe Applotments 1823-37 free online have 56 Kings in Down; some are in Ballymageraghty
There are also 8 Kennedys but none in any place ending in -town!
Griffiths Valuation 1848-64 free online has 150 Kings in Down but no Bally mackernon in the list of parishes
I checked the early censuses without success but tried the 1901 (free online) and found some Kings in BALLYMACKEOWNAN Down!
Tried the same for Kennedy and found 8 in NEWTOWN Down
I'll leave that with you as it's time for m y medicinal G & T!
