If you use Google Maps to locate Haddington Road, Dublin it will show you the hotels in the area.  I know of the Mespil Hotel on the Canal which is nice.  However, you could stay more central in Dublin City Centre and still be in walking distance of the Beggars Bush area (again check out google maps).

If you want to look at Birth, Marriage and Death Certs you will need to visit the GRO in Werburgh Street, Dublin.  This is just around the corner from Christ Church Cathedral and there is a Jury's Inn Hotel at the top of the street as well (another option for your stay).  Again google maps will be useful here.

A full days unlimited searching of the Indexes for Births, Marriages and Death's will cost you ?20 PLUS the cost of each certificate you request, which are ?4 each.  You could save some money by using FamilySearch.org to carry out online searches of the indexes for free.  Once you find what you need make a note of the details of the cert including type, name(s), date, quarter, district, volume and page number.

The National Library of Ireland is also another useful resource where you can search microfilm copies of parish registers for most of Ireland up to approx 1900.  Please note that not all parishes are included and there are many gaps in the dates of those that are, but they can be very useful.  There is also a free genealogical research advisory service in the National Library which is very useful if you are just starting out or get stuck with your research.
