I am looking for any information about my ancestors, Jeremiah Lynch (my great great grandfather), who I believe ws born on November 5, 1854, in Castletownroche Parich, Templenoe., and his wife, Mary Kelleher (my great great grandmother), who I understand was born in 1848 in Coolea/Ballyvorney. I believe their daughter Margaret Theresa Lynch who was born on November 24, 1898 in Brockton, MA was my great grandmother. I have read that Jeremiah Lynch was either the son of Cornelius Lynch or Jeremiah Lynch and Mary Gay/Gaye/Gayney.
My ancestors emigrated to Massachusetts. I now reside in NJ with my husband and three daughters. My daughter Colleen will be studying at University College Cork in the spring and we are now planning a trip to Ireland over Easter. I would love to learn more about our Irish ancestors. I believe we will be spending time in Cork, Killarney, Cong, and Dublin.
Any information you have about the Lynch or Kelleher ancestors would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dawn Shea Petillo

Hi Dawn
There is a record of the baptism of Jeremiah Lynch 5 Nov 1854 on www.irishgenealogy.ie/ - a free site
http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/b0f7960227209.
Father is also Jeremiah & mother Joanna Keane
There is also a record of Mary Kelleher 1848 but it is Cork & Ross Parish

You may want to have a look at the Tithe Applotments (free online) to see where the families were living in the 1820's & 30's
Enjoy your visit
