My 3GGrandparents are found in Navan in the 1821 census. John Gregory and Anne Bellew had 8 children before emigrating to America in 1853. This entire family lived in Watertown, New York. I am attempting to find ancestors and possibly relatives still living in Ireland.

Hi Tom
I couldn't find a marriage record for John & Ann on www.rootsireland.ie/ (subscription site)
Their ages on the census you cited give birth years of 1787 & 1795.
The only Meath record for Ann is below:
No luck with John though.
The Tithe Applotments (free site) have 3 Sam & 3 John Gregorys in Meath in 1824.

Thank you for responding and trying to help me.! I appreciate your time and effort. I have seen John Gregory in the 1824 Tithe record in Martry. I know he was a linen weaver; so i do not know if he would be on such a tax list.
Of interest: there is also a Mary Bellew; widowed, with 2 children, in Nevinstown census of 1821. John and Anne are in that same place in 1821. I suspect Mary may be Anne's mother with her siblings. The places and ages are compelling.
I have sent an email to the History Library in Navan requesting assistance. I understand they have the church books. I have not received a reply.
kind regards,
Tom
