Finding Ancestors

I can see a marriage registered in Dunfanaghy between Peter McLean and Annie McGlynn or Spieres. (So was Annie married before?). The marriage was registered in April ? Jun 1926 Vol 2, page 15.

You can order a photocopy of the certificate from GRO Roscommon for ?4.  http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx

You have to download and print off the form. Then either post or fax it back to them. You can?t e-mail it to them. However if you want them to e-mail the cert to back to you, they will do that, so tick the relevant box.

Put the reference details on the form (anywhere). Don?t worry about leaving some boxes blank. As long as GRO have the location, name(s), year, quarter volume and page number they should find it.

The certificate may help you locate Annie in the 1911 census etc, as it should contain her father?s name and occupation.

I also located the 1926 civil marirage index record for Anne and Peter McLean. You can get a copy of the record for around 4 euros from the General Register Office. The record would show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where the bride and groom were living in 1926. Let me know if you need instructions.
