Ref. John McGlynn resident in Falcarragh in the 1750s possibly a tenant smallholder in that area and his children, tried Griffiths couldn't find anything. any help would be appreciated.

Did you mean 1850s? The Griffiths was conducted in Co. Donegal around 1857. There were many McGlynns in Kilteevoge civil parish including 7 Johns. See link below.
