Hello
I'm trying to trace my great great grandfather James McConnell and his family in Aghavoory, Aghalurcher. I have no dates for him except his son Alexander was born around 1845. James married (possibly Ann) Arnott. They were Catholic, and family stories say that they used the Cooneen (?) chapel and lived at or near Fivemiletown. I think I've found James McC on the Griffiths valuation, farmer in Aghavoory but got no futher. I can't find a Catholic chapel called Cooneen online, can anyone give an idea where I can find out about this?
I'd like to find James' birth/ parents/ children/ wife (Arnott), but records are not easy to find are they.
Really appreciate any help,
Thanks, Shelagh

There is a widow Anne McCONNELL living in Aughavoory (Corrylongford, Fermanagh) in 1901.

Thank you for such quick replies! The Ann in the census looks interesting, and a possibility of another child or sibling in the William Mcconnell who owned her house.
Is the Cooneen chapel in the photo a Catholic one? I've found info on a Church of Ireland one but not Catholic http://www.proni.gov.uk/guide_to_church_records.pdf. I'd be interested if there is still a parish there I could contact.
Many thanks again>
