Johanna Crowley was born in Kerry the daughter of Cornelius Crowley and Mary Clifford. She emigrated to Australia in 1862 where she married James Creedon from Cork. Australian records confirm these facts. I have identified seven Casteisland baptisms for children of Cornelius Crowley and Johanna Clifford of Mountfalvey (aka Knockyeala). I believe that the Corneius Crowley (wife Elizabeth) recorded in Knockyeala in the 1901 & 1911 censuses is the son of Cornelius & Mary. This cannot be confirmed because I cannot find any baptism record. Two of Johanna's descendants in Australia would like to find out more and if possible make contact with any descendants of the other Crowley children.
Thanks,
John
Note: I am an Irish based descendant of James Creedon's brother

John:
I'm not sure why the baptismal record for Cornelius is not on the www.irishgenealogy.ie site.
On July 8th, the National Library of Ireland plans to place all RC parish registers online for free searching. I would review the Castleisland register at that time.

Hi
I am a descendant of Dennis Crowley (1842-1909) & Mary Cournane of Castleisland. I believe that he had brothers named Cornelius, Timothy and Michael but have found this difficult to prove as so many family members were given the same name!
Most of Denis' sons emigrated to America but one of his granddaughters went to Australia and there are descendents there currently.
I would be interested to compare notes with any Crowleys out there.

Mandy,
With further research I determined that Cornelius Crowley (no parish baptism record can be found) was the son of Cornelius Crowley and Mary Clifford of Mount Falvey (also known as Knockyeala). He married Elizabeth Mahoney. The family can be found in the 1901 census at: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Kerry/Derreen/Knockyeala/1427368/
Some Cornelius & Elizabeth's children emigrated to Massachusetts.
There was another two Crowley families in Mount Falvey in the 1901 census.
The children of Cornelius Crowley & Mary Clifford that I could find baptisms for were as follows (spelt as indexed in Irishgenealogy.ie):
3 May 1829 Honora Crawly
13 July 1847 Ann Crowley (married Timothy Denehy of Rean in Rathmore 1869)
24 March 1831 Mary Crouley
18 Nov 1849 Denis Crowly
15 Nov 1840 Juliana Canty (probably Johanna Crowley who emigrated to Australia in 1862 & married James Creedon)
1 June 1845 Helen Crowly
15 Oct 1838 John Crouly
