Hello,
Looking for any information on these two being my 4th gr grandparents. They immigrated to the US after 1801 as their oldest son, James was b. in Donegal. We do not know for sure what town they were located in in Ire. Their next son was born abt. 1802... so, I'd say Margaret was pg during crossing.
The rest of their 16 children were b. in Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania
Supposedly 2 of David's brothers traveled with them. We only know the name of one, Moses. We have no records of where they came to port at nor what happened to the brothers.
Daivid died in 1832 in Latrobe, Pa and Margaret died in 1855 after traveling West with her son, Jesse n wife, in Zuma, Rock Island Co., Illinois.
Thank you for any info that can be passed on reguarding this family,
Ruth

Very few churches in Co. Donegal have records back to 1800. I assume your family was either C of I or Presbyterian. I just checked Roots Ireland and could not find any baptismal records for James Maxwell around 1800.
