I have been researching in the newly released online NLI Catholic Parish Registers (baptisms) and found a great-great aunt's name that I didn't know was in the family.
Found the info by looking in Slieverue parish:
Here is the info I have: Ellen Walsh, baptized October 31,1837 Parents - Patt Walsh and Anty Linegan.
The problem is that I can't decipher the "residence" name, or the name of one of the sponsors -- Ellen [Somebody].
Wondered if anyone could help who is familiar with the area and/or with old handwriting?
Here is the link to the page upon which the information appears: http://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000631962#page/7/mode/1up
On right hand side, about half-way down the page.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I think the name is Forestal. The townland is likely in a nearby parish since Rathpatrick only has eight townlands and none of them appear to be close to what is written on the register. When I return home later today, I will look at nearby parishes. The word almost looks like Bridget.

I looked further at the Slieverue register and the location is Bridge. There is no official townland with that name but likely in the late 1830s there was a a place called Bridge. Not sure what civil parish.
