Hello,

I know that I had O'Reilly cousins living in Rathfarnham up until at least the 1980s.  These would be any descendants of Isaac O'Reilly and Julia Mannering, who married in 1897 at St. Joseph's in Terenure.  Thanks to the parish registers being released I finally found the proof I needed that these O'Reillys were my cousins, so I thought I'd post on the off chance anyone here might be looking for these people in their family trees.  Isaac O'Reilly was a first cousin of my great-grandfather Peter Fagan.

  • Thank you for the reply, I haven't been around the site lately myself!  I did find the names of a few of their children through registrations, as well as cemetery records showing one of their sons died in the 1980s.  I haven't really got anything else though and was hoping there might be some local memory of them from people who lived in that area.

  • Hi again

It might be a good idea to add your ancestor's details to our XO Chronicles. You can learn more about it HERE and it might be another avenue to consider so that your ancestor's details can be seen by others.

    Best wishes
