My Great-Great-Grandmother, Bridget Agnes Nash, was born in Boyle, Co. Roscommon in 1873 to James Nash & Bridget McDermott. I've found record of a few siblings: Peter, Michael, James, & Patrick Joseph, but I'm not certain if there were more children. I am hoping to find relatives of this family or at least learn about James & Bridget since all I have are their names.
Bridget Agnes came to Brooklyn, New York circa 1892. She married Kieran Curley of Athlone, though I am not sure if they married in Ireland or in NY - no record found in NY as of yet - been searching for over a decade. I have found that they visited Ireland at least once as a family in 1906.
Please contact me at SueCurley73@aol.com if you have any knowledge of these families!
Thank you!

Thanks for writing, Clare. This isn't a complaint - I am appreciative of the time volunteers dedicate to researchers. I just wanted to know if, perhaps, you have no volunteers in the area, or maybe my request was overlooked. I've not ordered microfilms from the area since I have an infant that doesn't yet share my love of genealogy, so I'm depending upon someone out there who might have a link to this family, or microfilms already on loan and could check for my family. Would mean a lot to us! Thanks again in advance!

Sue:
Related to my e-mail to you, here are the 1901 and 1911 census records for a possiblle Nash family in Rusheen townland in Ardcarn civil parish which is near Boyle.
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Roscommon/Rockingham/Rusheen/1657681/
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Roscommon/Rockingham/Rusheen/762098/
I also looked at Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie and found an index record for an 1859 marriage between James Nash and a lady with the surname McDermott in the Ardcarn RC records. I tried a number of first names like Bridget, Delia, Biddy, Agnes etc but none work so the name must have been different. Roots charges either 5 euros or 5 dollars to allow you to view the data they transcribed from the church record.
Civil registration began in 1864. I looked for civil birth index records for Nash children in the Boyle registration district. The first record is your gg grandmother, the others could be siblings.
I could not locate a civil marriage index record for Bridget Nash to Kieran Curley in Ireland.
Let me know.
