Looking for any information re: my GGGFather Owen McCall
All the family came from the Cavan area, and I have been able to trace quite a few.
My GGFather's death certificate lists his parents as Owen McCall and Margaret Smith (spelling may differ) but I have been unable to trace any record. There is a Owen McCall listed in the Griffiths Valuation from Shercock parish, but the dates don't coincide. His son was married in 1882 at Belturbet Cavan, I have researched for ages to try and find a marriage certificate or other children born to this couple to no avail. I can't find a birth certificate for my GGFather John McCall apart from his 1882 marriage cert. John McCall is listed in the Scottish census 1901 along with his wife Ellen Maguire. Any info on his father or mother, would be much appreciated.
