I'm not sure that this will help but I found loads of Freeborns in an area called Drumhome near Ballyshannon in the parish of Kilbarron.

In addition to trying to make contact in Donegal, you may want to try to track the children in the 1901/1911 censuses as several of them likely immigrated.   You might find some other family researchers with more info. I found Jane's marriage record (which mentions the parents) in Worcestor, MA:

I saw several other Worcester records that look like they could be some of the others.   Also in Worcester was another family from Tullyvoos with parents named John Freeborn and Eliza Colvin.  I saw this tree online.

Hi Sollie, I know this post was written some time ago, but you are researching one of the same family lines that I am. I am descended from Elizabeth Jane Freeborn (1800-1866) and James Maxwell (1790-1868) of Point (Dooran). My main tree is on Ancestry, but I do have others on familysearch and FtDna. Please can we compare notes? I believe I did find a record linking George in Canada, to George in Point. His brother also came to Hamilton, and a sister too. I look forward to hearing from you. Thomas Freeborn of Townalary was on the selection list as a cess payer for jury service April 1839

From the Londonderry Sentinel April 28, 1904 April 21 at Parish Church Donegal by Rev WEB Chapman James eldest son of Mr Richard Freeborn Drummeny to Maggie Jane (Ciss) eldest daughter of Mr Thomas Robinson Main Street Donegal

Elizabeth Freeborn is listed in 1870 and 1894 as the Donegal Town Workhouse Matron

Arthur Freeborne is listed in Drumlaght Donegal during the Griffith’s Valuation

In 1888 the idea for a new bridge for Donegal Town was first advocate at the presentment session for Tyrhugh Barony held in the courthouse Donegal Town. One of the cess or rate payers present was Arthur Freeborn of Townalary

Ballyshannon Herald December 1, 1837 at the fair of Ballintra on Friday last Mr Freeborn was severely beaten at a short distance from his own house, by a party of men. Two of them have been committed to stand their trial at the ensuing quarter sessions of the peace. There cannot be more inoffensive man than Mr Freeborn – he is much respected by all who know him.
