A very useful census for this parish, apart from the 1901 &1911 ireland census is an unofficial, census that appears in " the house that Martin built" if you google that phrase. It deals with the building of the parochial house beside Glen chapel and lists the heads of all the catholic families within the various town lands of Donaghmore parish in 1848.

malone and mcatameney names can be found in ballymacratty more  & beg town lands which are part of the four towns.

also go to the proni website. Public records of northern ireland. You can put in the Malone or mcatamney surnames and you will find some wills with very definite information about your ancestors.

you will note also from the census 1911 that Leonard Columbus alone was born in 1910 or 1911 as he was not yet 1 year old on the records.

go also to askabout ireland website and you can find out who inhabited different farms in the various town lands in ireland in 1864 and thereafter up until the holdings were purchased by the tenant farmers.
