Henry and Ann Brady had children in Carrickykelly, Inishkeen :
Michael 1873
Mary Anne 1875
Bridget 1876
Thomas 1878
The sponsors were: Patrick Martin, Anne Brady, Peter Brady, Mary Keenan, John McDonnell, Anne McDonnell, Michael and Bridget Loey
They had small children in Rassan, Co Louth (upper Creggan parish):
Catherine 1881
Ellen 1884
Henry 1888
The sponsors were Mary Keenan, Anne Murtaugh, Michael Brady, Catherine Kindillan.
The family moved to England in the 1890s.
I would like to contact descendants of any of the above so that I can find out if we are related and more about Henry and Anne. I haven't yet found their marriage. Certificates state that Ann's maiden name was Brady as well.

Hi,
Thank you for your message.
I hope that someone who is connected to the family or who knows the family contacts you and helps you with ypur research.
In the meantime, have you tried looking in civil records for their marriage record? If they were married after 1864 it would have been recorded in civil records. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office in Dublin. Here is their website:
http://www.groireland.ie/research.htm
You can search the indexes to these records online at:
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1408347
Have you searched in the 1901/1911 census records to see if there were any family still living in the area at the time? You can do so here:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/
Some other websites that you may find useful are:
The National Archives of Ireland http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/
The National Library of Ireland http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx
The Public Records Office of Northern Ireland http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/family_history.htm
Genealogy links: http://www.genealogylinks.net/uk/ireland/louth/index.html
Alternatively, you could contact Louth Co. Library for some assistance, however a fee may be involved. Here is their email: referencelibrary@louthcoco.ie
I hope some of this is helpful. Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.
Kind regards,

Hello,
I am trying to find a baptismal record for my grandfather, Patrick James McArdle. He lived on the River Fane in Cullaville until the family moved to the States in the mid (or late) 1920s. I need a baptismal record so that I can pursue Irish citizenship. He was born in July of 1915 so I would assume the baptismal certificate would be from around that time. If it seems like that the certificate is in the church, I can setup a time to come and search myself. I am curently in the UK so it is not that far. Pat's father was also named Patrick James McArdle and his mother was Bridget McAdrle Nee Dooley (from Galway). His family owned the local pub for many years.
Thank you so much for your time.
Best,
Arden

Hi Arden,
If Patrick was born in 1915 there will be a civil record of his birth. You can get this from the GRO, it may be easier than trying to get the baptismal record. Here are the contact details:
