November, 1865. William Irwin married Elizabeth Molloy at St Anne's Church of Ireland, in Shankill.
Phillip Irwin, gardener, was listed as William's father.
1869, William and Elizabeth Irwin arrived in Australia as unassisted immigrants.
Any help or suggestions on furthering my search for my Irish ancestors greatly appreciated.

I have been given a transcript of a letter written home by William upon his arrival in Australia. In it he refers to Granpa Philip and Granma from Smithfield. He also mentions a brother Roby who works in Air St and a sister Maggie who works in a mill.
I have also found a birth register for one of William and Elizabeth's children, Joseph. He was born in 1968, 12 months before their emigration, and gives their address as 20 Institution Street, Smithfield. Census records for that year show a Rose Maguire living at that address - maybe they were lodgers?
