I am researching my Beatty Family History. My direct ancestor was Robert Beatty born and married in Moneymore, Co Derry. Robert and his wife Hannah (aka Marie) nee Hilliard are buried in the Christ Church graveyard in Delgany, Co Wicklow.

Their son Robert James came to Australia and changed his name to McBeatty. I have that family history.

Their other 4 children remained in Ireland and only their daughter Elisabeth aka Lilly had a child - Sophia Lily Henry born Nov 1904. Elisabeth died Nov 1904 and is buried in Mount Jerome Cemetery.

Sophia Lily Henry married Edward Joseph Bond in 1931 and they had one child Lilian Ellen Alberta Bond in 1937. Sophia Lily Henry died 4 weeks later in 1937 and is buried in Co Laois.

Sophia Lily Henry had 3 half siblings, Margaret (1888), Julia (1889) and Elizabeth Charlotte (1891-1909).

Margaret married Charles Edward Lamb and Julia married Thomas Ladley. (no further information regarding Margaret)

Julia and Thomas had one surviving child Lilly Mary who married John Ellis in 1949. I have births of two children James F and Gabrielle A Ellis.

Julia and Thomas Ladley and their son are buried together in Mount Jerome Cemetery grave A19-412-15978.

According to Thomas' death registration he died at Balrothery in 1955.

The only other information that I have found so far is that Edward Joseph Bond remarried 1941 to Anne Kirwan and Lilian Ellen Alberta had three half siblings Dolores A T, Evelyn K M, Edward M J Bond. According to Edward's will his daughter Dolores married  Denis McCormack and Evelyn married an Ennis. Lilian Ellen Alberta was not mentioned in her step-mother's will.

My quest is to locate Lilian Ellen Alberta Bond. I would appreciate it if anyone recognises the above names to contact me or give me advise on how to trace possibly living people.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

We are prevented by the unavailability of sources and privacy legislation from providing information about individual's without their consent. You will find that many online sources for records stop in the early 1900s for this reason and archives and museums employ the 100 year rule.

Have you considered the newspaper archives to see if there is any reference to Lilian? There could be on obit or news article - you could try to Irish Newspaper Archives. You can subscribe for as little as one day or for a year, depending on what use you think you will make of it:
