Hi, I am trying to trace my Greatgrandmother ' Anne Ballantine ' who married sometime in the early 1860s a Thomas Brown, somewhere in Ireland. before migrating across to England. In 1863 Annabella Ballantine lived in the village of Grey Abbey. Lower Ards, Newton Ards, in Down. . This would by my 'Guess ' be about the time they were married. Any Help please ???
Cheers , Don Brown.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I checked the civil marriage index records and could not find a marriage for an Annabella Ballantine (and variants) to a Thomas Brown. I assume she was either Church of Ireland or Presbyterian. Non-RC marriages were civilly registered starting in 1845 and RC marriages in 1864. Either marriage was not registered civilly or they were married in England.
I did see the 1863 Griffiths record which you already have.
