Hi,

I'm looking for information about the children of Thomas Kearney and Elizabeth (Bessie) Hishon.

Thomas was born in 1851 in Bawnagh, Co. Limerick. He worked in Cannock's in Limerick city and died in 1926 in Limerick.

Elizabeth was born in 1871 in Shanagolden, Co. Limerick. She died in 1958 also in Limerick.

Thomas and Elizabeth were married in September 1916 and had (at least) one daughter. They lived on O'Connell Avenue in Limerick city.

 

I don't know the name of the daughter or if there was any other children in the family. If anyone has information on this family it would be greatly appreciated!

    I have passed this query to our Shanagolden volunteer to have a look at. As most online records available to us finish in early 1900 there may not be a baptism/birth available online for the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth. You could apply for it here:

  • Hello Jacqueline. Your query has been sent to the local Shahagolden IRO team. While going through the Kilcolman Church rcds, I did notice a lot of Hishton and Kearney marriages and baptisms. So if you don't find them in the Shanagolden rcds, you might want to try Kilcolman Parish (which borders Shanagolden.)

    I'll post another reply when I've heard from the local team

    Maryrose Shaunessy was able to get quite a bit of info for you.

  • I forgot another piece of info discovered by John O'Connell. Elisabeth Hishon was born 10 Sep 1871. Her parents were: William Hishon and Maria Cussen.

  • Also, I checked Ancestr.com and FamilySearch.org. I could find nothing about this family on either site, which is unusual.
