seeking confirmation of a marriage between a John McAllister and a Margaret Jane Blair(Peggy). Their daughter Sarah was born in February 1873 and Peggy was Church of Ireland. They resided in the Dunserverick area and in the 1911 census she was recorded as being single and a postcard seller. Peggy died in 1919 and was residing in the same area. No other children have been found. Peggy did have other family in the area.

I can’t see the marriage in the statutory records.
I searched GRONI’s records for children born to McAllister & Blair in Ballycastle and Sarah is the only one (Born 1st Feb 1873). Both parents names are recorded on the birth cert which normally indicates they were married. However you could check the certificate to see. If the word “formerly” is deleted against the mother’s name then the parents were probably not married.
