Just trying to find out more infor or any records.
The Morrison family had it’s origins in Ireland, being traced through grandparents, John and Catherine Morrison of County Waterford. John came to Australia about 1860 and Catherine in the early 1860’s.
John Morrison and Catherine Walsh had married before he left Ireland but Catherine had remained there to attend to her sick father and to help wind up his affairs after his death. The voyage to Australia was probably not an unpleasant one family accompanied him on the journey. Successful was she in that capacity that she was asked to continue to look after the children on the return voyage. The marriage tie was, however, stronger and hastened on to Canberra to be re-united with her husband.

As it doesn't give any names of their parents, its very difficult to find their baptism records. I have searcxhed for both baptismal records but there are just too many Catherine Walshes in Co Waterford to even go through. Also can't find John's baptismal record.
Sorry that I can't be of more assistance.
Kind regards,

You might want to check the parish records at the National Archives, to see if you could locate possible siblings. Always check the witnesses for marriages and sponsors for baptisms are often family. Try to see if you can find a cluster of Morrison's and Walshes in the same or neighboring town lands. They are often family, and might help you build the extended family group.
