Looking for any info on descendents for:
John Hickey who married Carherine Kehoe - their children:
Elizabeth 2/9/1837, Elizabeth 9/30/1838, Catherine 12/25/1842, Sarah 1/26/1855 (my great grandmother who emmigrated to
Chicago in 1872),
Catherine married Michael Keegan (presumably in Clonegal). Their children -
Alice or Alicia 8/1866, Catherine 1867, Charles 1877 (who died in Chicago), Margaret 1883, Bridget 1887.

There’s a Michael Keegan’s marriage registered in Shillelagh in 1865 (Vol 12, page 917). The indexes don’t show exactly who he married but one of the names on that short list is Margaret Kehoe. Not Catherine but I wonder if that’s the Keegan – Kehoe marriage?
I also see a birth regd in Shillelagh 1866 Vol 12, page 962 for Alice Keegan. Again, that might be the family you are researching.
If you get the certificates and the townland (address) it’ll make researching forward easier.

Keegan Marriage
I had assumed that Keegans were Catholic, but there are a number of marriages with Wicklow/Wexford/Carlow people who were Protestant
Anne m Edwad Hopkins in Wexford 1818
Anthony m Frances Hopkins 1842
Thomas m Mary Jane Haskins Queens Co 1873
Thomas m Jane Edge circa 1835
Susan m Robert Leggett circa 1865
