George Erety and Betty Godkin had daughter Mary Erety baptized on 29 Aug 1794 in the Catholic St. Aidan's Cathedral, Enniscorthy, Wexford, Ireland. Then they came to Philadelphia, America. I would so like to find the parents of George Erety and Betty or Elizabeth Godkin as she was in church books in Philadelphia. They changed the spelling of their surname spelling in America to Araghty, Araughty, Dougherty, Eraghty, Ereghty, Erraughty or Errette. But the next generation in America when back to the surname spelling of Erety.

The RC parish records for Enniscorthy start in May 1794 so you were fortunate to find the baptismal record in August 1794. Records for George and Betty would not be available if they were baptized in Enniscorthy.
